Immortalized human renal epithelial cells (Clone UABhk1-13)

Source: These cell were derived from renal cortex of a 14 year old boy and then immortalized with pLenti-SV40-T-tsA58. A single cell was subcloned to generate a clonal population.
Cell Type: Renal epithelial cells, cortex. These cells express markers of collecting duct principal cells.
Purpose: Valuable normal human renal epithelial model for studying PKD or other renal diseases. These cells have a stable Karyotype.
